Williams weighed in at 241 pounds, but showed no ill effect from the extra weight. Coach Mike Ditka believes Williams can play at 240 pounds with no problem. Williams zipped through holes with authority and quickness, was sure-handed catching passes and, except for fans clamoring for his autograph, seemed to mesh right in with his new teammates. Williams was welcomed with open arms. After seeing the talent level of his new team for the first time, Williams reiterated his prediction that the club will reach the playoffs this season. "Oh, definitely," Williams said. "It's going to be fun to watch our offense. I guarantee one thing this year -- we're going to the playoffs.
